The Fertility Signal Score

One score. Five signals.
A clear next step.

We turn your laboratory results into a single, easy-to-read score out of 100. It's built from five clinically meaningful signals - so instead of pages of numbers, you get one clear picture of where you stand and what to do next.

What your score means

80–100
Strong

Your results sit in a healthy range. Focus on maintaining your current lifestyle and revisit periodically to keep track.

60–79
Borderline

Some signals need attention. A targeted protocol and a retest in 8–12 weeks can often move your score up meaningfully.

Below 60
Action advised

A clinical review is worth booking. Our team will walk you through the specific signals affecting your score and the next steps available.

Why now, not later

Fertility declines quietly. Testing removes the guesswork.

Most men only learn there's a problem after 6–12 months of trying to conceive. By then, many treatment windows have narrowed. Sperm quality, DNA integrity, and hormone profiles can shift for years before any symptom appears.

A single test gives you a baseline. Repeat testing turns that baseline into a trend - and a trend is what actually drives action.

What we analyse

A complete picture, not a single number.

01

Semen analysis

Count, motility and morphology under microscopic review, benchmarked against WHO reference values.

02

DNA fragmentation

Detects damage that a standard semen analysis misses - a leading cause of unexplained infertility.

03

Hormone profile

Testosterone, FSH, LH, prolactin, oestradiol - the endocrine picture behind sperm production.

04

General health markers

Metabolic and inflammatory markers that quietly shape reproductive outcomes.

Common questions

You probably want to know…

Who should get tested?

Any man aged 25 or over who is planning children in the next few years, any couple that has been trying for six months or more, and anyone preparing for IVF or considering egg or sperm freezing.

How long do results take?

Semen and hormone results are usually ready within 3–5 working days. DNA fragmentation can take up to 10 days depending on the panel.

What is a "good" Fertility Signal Score?

Scores above 80 sit in the strong range, 60–79 is borderline, and below 60 typically means a clinical review is worth booking. Your dashboard explains what each individual signal contributes.

Is this NHS or private?

Fertility Signal is a private service run by the Marylebone Diagnostic Centre. Same-day booking is usually available and results are delivered through a private patient portal.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly. If your result suggests further investigation, our clinician will explain the next steps clearly.
